Covid Con
Truth and respect for reality is in short supply. And it pretty much always has been...
For most of the last month, I’ve been dealing with some medical issues.
(Ah! The joy of getting old…er…)
This particular “incident” started out as reminiscent of a number of previous problems I’ve had over the past five years. Usually, I experience a recurring set of symptoms that are pretty debilitating. Then four or five days later, I am past the downturn and back to “normal”…whatever precisely that means these days…
Anyhoo…
But not this time. I experienced new and additional li’l ol’ fun things to make my days memorable.
I tried a variety of approaches in my routine. My condition improved a bit but then settled stubbornly into a general malaise that refused to vacate the premises.
Eventually, I schlepped over the hump that is my general distrust of the medical profession these days and went to a local urgent care.
As has happened way too frequently in the past, the doctor who examined me was, shall we say, less than competent.
I had blood drawn and examined. A chest X-ray. I repeated the Saga of My Problem about fifty-thousand times to staff members.
Eventually, the physician told me that based upon the lab results, I definitely had X. He just could not tell precisely with the tools available to him at the urgent care offices where X was.
Repeatedly, I summarized his points as meaning that I had X for certain. Yes?
Yup. No doubt, at all. He told me I should go to an emergency room so I could get more extensive diagnostic tests and procedures.
X was a potentially deadly condition. And I mean that literally. Like an assassin in the shadows, X could kill me without warning.
Well. That definitely made my day.
So feeling wonderfully optimistic, I called my wife with the joyous news and drove to a nearby hospital.
Since the urgent care doctor had called ahead, I did not have long to wait before I was ushered into a room. Once more I recited the great Saga of My Problem for the nurse. And then again soon thereafter for the ER doctor.
Almost immediately after I told the various and sundry folks the dire diagnosis the urgent care doctor delivered, the medical folks at this hospital smiled—not too incredulously, it seemed; like parents finding a child’s error amusing and indulgently naive—and assured me that any number of less lethal causes might be producing the lab results in question.
The ER repeated most of the same lab tests and treated me to a number of high tech procedures that eventually proved that that I was sans of any X anywhere in my body. The probable culprit for my decrepitude was identified and a course of treatment was initiated.
So. I was admitted for an overnight stay. Blah, blah, blah. And I am finally more or less returned to my homeostatic norm with an accompanying and healthy loss of energy and conditioning from being more-or-less immobile for a number of weeks.
Fun times. Fun times.
What does any of this have to do with covid?
Glad you asked.
While I was waiting in an ER room for all the wonders of modern medicine to transpire, a lovely sadist gentleman entered. He proceeded to jab some stupid swab about fifty inches into my skull.
The pain I felt was more intense than anything I endured from my actual problem or the procedures I underwent to deal with it.
And for what?
To see if I “had” covid. (And a number of other stupid diseases.)
Fuck me with a rusty spoon.
I mean, what were they going to do if the tests had returned any positives? (They did not…) Isolate me? Force me to wear a useless and even harmful mask?
It was all bullshit.
The PCR test they performed was declared by the creator of the test as inappropriate to use as a diagnostic tool.
But, hey! Why let the facts interfere with idiotic “guidelines” generated by fools at an unconstitutional organization that should not even exist?
Good little NPCs don’t bother with reason or context or proportion or common sense.
Now. Don’t get me wrong. Most—and I emphasize “most”—of the people I dealt with were competent and seemingly decent folks. A few of the parade of folks wore virtue-signaling facial diapers, but thankfully they were in the minority.
Regardless, the “official” stance is that covid is “highly contagious.”
Big fucking deal. “Contagious” does not automatically mean “dangerous,” at least for the vast majority of people.
And let us not forget that covid is a coronavirus as is the “common” cold…which, in essence, is what covid now is. No truly effective and safe vaccine has ever been produced to subdue a coronavirus. In my lifetime—and for considerably longer, I’d wager—no such “vaccine” will be created.
Also, just for shits and giggles: Repeat after me: THERE WAS NO ACTUAL PANDEMIC.
The “official” position continues to recommend:
Masks
Social distancing (fuck me; I loathe that phrase)
“Vaccination” (air quotes are courtesy of yours truly)
Even more astounding—despite all real evidence to the contrary—the “official” charlatans dare declare that the “COVID-19 vaccination is the single best tool we have to prevent and limit severe illness from COVID-19. It is readily available, effective and remarkably safe.”
Jumping Jesus on a stick.
No mention of vitamin D. No hints at the value of ivermectin or nasal irrigation or other approaches that have successfully helped innumerable patients. No reference to the fact that the Covid Jab is an experimental intervention that should never have been permitted under current law since effective non-experimental treatments already existed. No mention of the fact that the Jab is for an outdated version of the virus. No allusion to the fact that taking the Jab is, in reality, playing Russian Roulette and can leave the recipients dead or disabled at statistical levels far above what in the past would have gotten it pulled from use. No mention that the Jab neither prevents the patient from GETTING covid or from TRANSMITTING it to other people.
“Effective and remarkably safe,” my ass.
Ultimately, though, this article is about neither my illness nor covid nonsense.
Surprise!
This country—and the rest of the world, at a somewhat faster pace—is on course to descend into full-blown dictatorship. Four years ago, the government gleefully violated about every constitutionally guaranteed freedom we are supposed to enjoy.
Freedom of religion? Pfft.
Freedom of travel? **snicker**
Freedom of association? Riiiight…
Freedom of bodily autonomy? Hahahahahaha…
Freedom of speech? Fuggettaboutit…
Like good li’l Nazis, waaay too many people whispered or shouted, “He’s not wearing a mask!” or “She’s not standing six feet away from me!” or “He’s having friends visit him!”
No running alone on a beach. No surfing in solitary. No hiking in the mountains or riding a bike without a piece of wrinkled and soiled cloth sagging on your face.
No visiting a dying parent or relative.
Children—especially endangered kids—were forced to stay home and miss out on proper socialization and protection from nasty family members. No parties. No graduation. No normal human interactions. No sex. No being human.
“Lockdowns.” Depression. Suicide. Alcoholism. Drug use. Psychological trauma. Phobias galore. Obesity. Abuse.
A literal dumbing down of the populace as IQs dropped.
Jobs lost. Small businesses closed. Diktats—sorry: “recommendations”—designed to ruin lives.
Ostracism. Censorship.
Jesus. This list could be extended indefinitely.
And for fucking what?
Nothing useful, rational, or moral. The “in-crowd” got rich while the world sank into chaos and disaster. Massive inflation. Buying off people with their own stolen money. Disregard of the rule of law. A (mostly) corrupt and cowardly judicial system. A useless Congress and president bent on ignoring the rules imposed on the hoi-polloi and aggrandizing themselves.
But the rot, of course, is far deeper and more virulent than what has happened and is still happening.
As I said, this article is not about covid.
It is primarily, fundamentally about the utter irrationality and immorality that have periodically gripped our nation and ruined what began as a great and noble experiment in freedom: creating the first country in the history of the world that consciously and deliberately made the government subservient to the individual citizens of that nation.
Disgusting as the situation is, I am not really surprised that so many people in government, medicine, education, entertainment, and business continue to spout lies about covid and all the dross associated with it.
After all, despite a plethora of evidence that is beyond overwhelming, people still believe after centuries—millennia—of countervailing facts that government is supposed to do anything other than protect our rights. They refuse to acknowledge that any time a State steps a fraction of an inch beyond its proper boundaries, we are the ones who will ultimately suffer.
Welfare. Subsidies. Prohibitions. Regulations. Mandates. A few benefit while the majority suffer. And, of course, eventually even that handful of folks who milk the system for all it’s worth will face self-destruction from the negative consequences of their own decisions and actions.
You can ignore reality for a time. But reality never ignores you. Causation cannot be denied its final pound of flesh from those who stupidly try to defy it.
I mean, for crissakes!, a vast majority of people still think Lincoln and Wilson and FDR were the greatest presidents in American history when they were, in truth, despicable scumbags who sought to shred the republic! Think about it: FDR believed Mussolini was the cat’s pajamas! A fascist brother to be admired and emulated.
Believing-What-Isn’t-So™ is an endeavor that never seems to go out of business or to experience a dearth of customers.
Making excuses for tyranny. Turning a blind eye to misery. Pretending that A is not-A. Kissing the boot that presses down on your neck. Attacking the ones who merely identify abuses rather than blaming the abusers themselves and holding them accountable.
Compliance. Acquiescence. Blindness.
All willful and chosen because it’s “too hard” to be rational and moral and just and accept personal responsibility for your own decisions and behavior.
Bullies and cowards and thieves dominate our world. Force, not persuasion. Getting the government to do your dirty work for you. Robbing others all the while proclaiming that you have a right to that wealth…but the ones who created the wealth do not.
The hypocrisy and lies and evasion never end.
I’m sick of second-handers and social metaphysicans who worry more about the worthless opinions of strangers than they do about those who are actually close to them.
The mafia has more integrity than these putzs. At least a criminal doesn’t pretend he is ruining your life for “your own good.”
The covid con is alive and well. Yet it is merely a small subset of the larger con that seeks and for all of history has sought to dominate and control and rule innocent people who just want to be left alone to live their own lives as they see fit.
Grr to the infinite power.
Fuck this.
